5 reasons to drink a green smoothie

1. Green smoothies are a great way to eat your veggies without even realizing it. Also they are much healthier than fruit or vegetable juices, because they are high in fiber.

2. They are a good source of energy. And because of the veggies, green smoothies have a balanced sugar content.

Tipp: add 1 scoop of protein powder to your smoothie.

3. This drink is also low in calories but very filling. They contain high amounts of water and fiber, they’ll make you feel full for longer. If you’re trying to lose weight, green smoothies will help fight hunger and cravings while helping the pounds melt off easier.

4. Green smoothies are easy to digest. They’re already blended and liquefied, so it makes them quicker to digest.

5. Home made smoothies are cheap, and you know 100% sure what you put into the blender. Unfortunately some Smoothie Bars are working with concentrate. They can contain 2-3 times more carbohydrate than the homemade version.smoothie

 

SUMMER BREEZE GREEN SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS


1 cup kale, fresh
1 cup water
1 tablespoon chia seed
1/2 nectarine
1/2 banana
2 strawberry
cinnamon
1 scoop of protein (I used unflavoured soya protein from @myprotein)

DIRECTIONS


1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.

* Use at least one frozen fruit to make the green smoothie cold and creamy.
